42. Red Church

Red Church
Church of Saints Simon & Helen

The Church of Saints Simon & Helen in Minsk, also known as the "Red Church" (Чырвоны касцёл) for its red bricks, was designed in neo-Gothic style by polish architects Tomasz Pajzderski and Władysław Marconi, and built during 1905-1910 as a result of a petition of the Catholic community from Minsk. Rebuilt into a cinema during the Soviet years, it was returned to the Catholic Church in 1990.
