Mexico Creación Popular
These are some stamps I have received from Mexico. As I stated before, they come from a Danish penpal who lives in Greenland and was vacationing in Mexico. Furthermore, when this postcard came to Europe, was re-stamped again in the UK. That makes it my most international card to the date!

a re-stamped carde I never heard about that ... so you are not only collecting post cards and pen pals but also stamps?
ReplyDeleteTo be precise, I am not a stamp collector but I cherish all beautiful stamps I receive. Some of them are small works of art!
DeleteI thought you had done some clever Photoshop work on the stamps :) The Mexican stamps are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI assure you I was puzzled when I received it!
DeleteThe Europe stamp is interesting. It seems like it would make sense to add that in the Mexican post office. I can't quite picture someone in Europe checking the unfamiliar denominations and postal rates.
ReplyDeleteActually I don't know what happened. Why would the Mexican post office have UK stamps? My guess was it was stamped again in Europe because there isn't any postmark on the Mexican stamps. But again, I have no clue.
DeleteI don't understand the UK stamp either and it's one I've never seen in use. Great Mexico stamps.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bob. I have never seen this stamp either.
DeleteI really like the basket on that first stamp. Great stamps from Mexico. thank you for joining in.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! The basket looks very intricate.
DeleteI just realized this week that I have not had any postcards from Mexico....
ReplyDeletethat basket looks amazing and the comb is so intricate. I am imagining how beautifully it would show up in an updo of long, thick black hair!
The objects depicted in these stamps must be very old. How fortunate was the woman who owned them!
DeleteI've never seen the UK stamp either - how strange. I must check the Royal Mail website - I'd love some.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear back from you if you find any info about it.
DeleteGreat stamps from Mexico, and a little mystery as how the British stamp ended up on the card!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! But that makes the card a little more interesting, doesn't it?
